DIG Motorway Police Meets BUITEMS Vice Chancellor to Strengthen Institutional Cooperation

Quetta, 20 August 2026: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Motorway Police Dr. Quraish Khan met with Engr. Prof. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor, Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), to discuss opportunities for strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.
During the meeting, both sides agreed on the importance of enhancing institutional collaboration and exploring areas of mutual interest. The discussions focused on developing a stronger partnership between BUITEMS and the Motorway Police through academic, professional, and capacity-building initiatives.
Both institutions agreed in principle to increase cooperation and formalize the partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The proposed MoU is intended to provide a framework for future collaborative activities and facilitate mutually beneficial initiatives. The meeting reflects BUITEMS’ commitment to building meaningful partnerships with public institutions and professional organizations to promote knowledge exchange, capacity building, innovation, and community service.
The proposed collaboration with the Motorway Police will further strengthen linkages between academia and public-sector institutions, creating opportunities for students, faculty, and professionals to benefit from practical knowledge and institutional expertise. BUITEMS remains committed to expanding strategic partnerships that contribute to academic excellence, professional development and the wider service of Balochistan and Pakistan.
