World Autism Day

The Psychology Department BUITEMS Celebrated World Autism Day on 22nd April 2025, in collaboration with Helping Hand for Relief and Development in Pink Hall. The speakers highlighted the importance of awareness, management, and acceptance of Autism as a unique characteristic in autistic persons. The chief guest of the event was the worthy Vice Chancellor BUITEMS, Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez who emphasized the importance of its awareness and its acceptance and to focus on the strengths of the autistic persons to let them be productive members of society. The worthy Vice Chancellor emphasized to work on the research gaps in this area in the province so it can help policy makers and primary and middle school teachers to treat autistic children differently and recognize in them the special qualities which can make their lives easier. The faculty members, Chairpersons FSSH and the respected Dean FSSH Prof. Dr. Aurangzaib Alamgir joined the program. The event ended by cake cutting ceremony and shields distribution to the speakers, Dean FSSH and HHRD staff by the chief guest of the program.
