BUITEMS Represents at the 59th Pakistan University Sports Board (PUSB) Meeting 2025–26

Quetta, September 2025 – The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) proudly participated in the 59th Meeting of the Pakistan University Sports Board (PUSB) 2025–26, hosted by the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, on September 19–20, 2025.

Representatives from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and various Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across Pakistan attended the meeting, both physically and virtually, to deliberate on key strategies for advancing university-level sports across the country.

BUITEMS was represented by Mr. Abdul Qadeem Kakar, Director Sports, BUITEMS, who actively contributed to the discussions on strengthening sports infrastructure, enhancing student participation in national and inter-university competitions, and developing future strategies for nurturing athletic talent in Pakistan’s higher education institutions.

The meeting underscored the importance of sports in building discipline, teamwork, and leadership qualities among students. It also emphasized collaborative efforts between universities, HEC, and sports boards to ensure that sports remain a vital component of student development.

BUITEMS’ participation reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a healthy balance of academic excellence and physical well-being, while also playing its part in shaping national sports policies in the higher education sector.

The University of Management and Technology (UMT), host of the event, extended gratitude to all participants for their valuable insights and collaborative spirit, noting that such collective efforts are pivotal for the advancement of sports in Pakistan’s universities.
