In a continued effort to raise awareness about traffic laws and promote safe driving habits, BUITEMS, in collaboration with the National Highways & Motorway Police, organized two impactful seminars on Road Safety and Traffic Rules during May 2025—one at Takatu Campus on May 7 and another at City Campus on May 21.
These seminars were organized by the Department of Training & Development BUITEMS, reflecting the university’s commitment to safeguarding its community. The initiative comes in the wake of tragic road incidents that claimed the lives of several students and staff members—highlighting the urgent need to educate individuals on proper driving procedures and road safety protocols.
At both campuses, the sessions were facilitated by a team of experienced professionals from the National Highways & Motorway Police, including Mr. Zia Uddin (Inspector), Mr. Hashir Mughal (Photographer), and Mr. Zulfiqar (Head Constable). Additionally, Ms. Nargis (Sub-Inspector) participated in the Takatu Campus session, while Ms. Khushbakht (Sub-Inspector) joined the City Campus session.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez, also attended the seminar at Takatu Campus and delivered a brief but powerful address, emphasizing the critical importance of road safety awareness among youth and university staff.
Both events saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff, who engaged actively in the discussions and appreciated the efforts to enhance their understanding of driving SOPs, traffic regulations, and the significance of recognizing and adhering to road signs.
BUITEMS reaffirms its resolve to continue such collaborative efforts, ensuring its community is equipped with the knowledge and habits necessary for safer roads and a more responsible society.
