The Department of Education at BUITEMS recently hosted a successful Awareness Campaign aimed at promoting the holistic concept of health. This remarkable event was led and organized by Ms. Shahtaj Akram, faculty Department of Education, with the talented students of the 7th semester. The event's success was further ensured by the Chairperson, Dr. Khadija Jaffar, whose guidance and management were pivotal.
The campaign focused on raising awareness about the five dimensions of holistic health: physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. To achieve this, students creatively set up five interactive stalls, each representing a dimension of health. They showcased innovative charts, banners, and engaging activities to educate visitors.
Highlights of the event included:
Healthy Food Stalls promoting balanced diets and their significance for physical health. Book stalls for promoting literature, and why reading books makes a good impact on our health and demonstrating how reading positively impacts mental, spiritual, and emotional health. Creative Games and Activities designed for mind relaxation and to boost creativity.
The campaign also featured lively participation from students, faculty members, and distinguished guests, including the Director of Administration, Mr. Suleiman Kasi, who appreciated the efforts of the organizers. Visitors engaged enthusiastically with the stalls and provided positive feedback, appreciating the event’s educational and interactive approach. Ms. Shahtaj Akram's exceptional efforts in conceptualizing and organizing this event deserve special recognition, as her dedication inspired the students to deliver an impactful and well-rounded campaign.
