BUITEMS Hosts Earth Day Plantation Drive 2025: Planting the Seeds of Peace and Sustainability

Quetta, April 24, 2025 – In celebration of Earth Day 2025, the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) organized a meaningful Plantation Drive at its Takatu Campus, bringing together students, faculty, and community members in a shared commitment to environmental sustainability.

Under the theme “Together, we plant the seeds of peace, love, and sustainability,” the event featured the plantation of 200 trees, each symbolizing a pledge to protect the environment and nurture harmony for future generations.

Held at 10:00 AM, the Earth Day Plantation Drive served as more than a symbolic activity—it was a tangible contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 15: Life on Land. Participants engaged in thoughtful conversations about environmental responsibility, youth empowerment, and the role of academic institutions in advancing sustainability.

BUITEMS continues to champion initiatives that promote ecological awareness and community-driven action. The university reaffirms its commitment to nurturing a cleaner, greener, and more inclusive future for Balochistan and beyond.
