The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) organized a grand “Open Day” event for students from colleges across the province, reaffirming its commitment to making knowledge and academic resources accessible to every learner in Balochistan.
In his message on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez emphasized BUITEMS’ vision of inclusivity and academic openness:
“BUITEMS is not limited to those enrolled within its walls—it belongs to every knowledge seeker in Balochistan. Our doors of education, research, and resources remain open so that no student of the province is deprived of academic light.”
He further stressed that it is the duty of universities to ignite passion for learning among the youth. The visit of school and college students to BUITEMS, he remarked, was a heartening display of enthusiasm, which would further inspire them to pursue higher education and contribute to the intellectual and cultural vibrancy of the province.
The event drew an overwhelming response, with over 2,000 students from more than 18 colleges across Balochistan attending. Students and teachers were given the opportunity to explore BUITEMS’ modern facilities, interact with faculty members, and gain first-hand exposure to the university’s academic environment.
Various faculties set up awareness stalls, guidance sessions, and interactive engagements, offering valuable information to prospective students about academic programs, research opportunities, and campus life. This initiative provided visiting students with the right direction as they prepare for future admissions to higher education institutions.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez appreciated all of BUITEMS for successfully organizing the event.
The “Open Day” proved to be a vibrant celebration of knowledge-sharing and academic connection, reflecting BUITEMS’ role as a beacon of higher education for all students in Balochistan.
