43rd Mid-Career Management Course Participants Visit BUITEMS for Local Field Study

Quetta, June 4, 2025 – The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) was honored to host participants of the 43rd Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC), consisting of BPS-18 officers from various occupational groups, along with officials from the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) Quetta, for a local field visit as part of their ongoing training.

The delegation visited BUITEMS from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, gaining firsthand insight into the university’s academic, research, innovation, and administrative ecosystem.

The guests were warmly received at the main entrance of SS Block A by the Senior Management of BUITEMS. Prof. Dr. Mirwais Khan Kasi, Pro Vice Chancellor, BUITEMS, formally welcomed the visiting team and appreciated the Civil Services Academy and NIPA Quetta for selecting BUITEMS as part of their field visit itinerary.

“BUITEMS stands committed to institutional excellence, innovation, and collaborative engagement with the public sector. We are proud to showcase how higher education in Balochistan is transforming,” said Dr. Kasi in his welcoming note.

The delegation was given a comprehensive tour of the university’s key academic and administrative spaces, including:
• Pink Hall – Venue for major academic and cultural events.
• UAFA – Displaying students’ support facilities.
• MS Research Lab – Advancing interdisciplinary graduate research.
• Video Conference Room – Facilitating global academic connectivity.
• Data Center – BUITEMS’ core for digital operations and information security.
• Smart Classroom – A technology-enabled space supporting advanced e-learning with high-speed internet and global access tools.
The visit continued with a formal presentation session at the Training Hall, where BUITEMS officials shared the university’s vision, academic strengths, applied research projects, and contributions to innovation, entrepreneurship, and community development. The presentation was followed by a thought-provoking Q&A session, offering a platform for meaningful dialogue and institutional exchange.

The delegation concluded their visit with a tour of BUITEMS’ National Incubation Center (NIC). The NIC team briefed the guests on how the center supports startup culture, digital entrepreneurship, and youth innovation in Balochistan, highlighting successful ventures and partnerships with industry and government.

Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor BUITEMS, thanked the participants of the 43rd MCMC and NIPA for their visit. He praised the value of such interactions in bridging the gap between academia and the public sector.

“This visit is a reflection of BUITEMS’ expanding role in the national development agenda. We are not just preparing graduates—we are shaping problem solvers, researchers, and future leaders who will contribute meaningfully to Pakistan's progress,” said Dr. Hafeez. He further expressed hope for continued collaboration and emphasized the university’s commitment to being a platform of innovation, civic responsibility, and institutional partnership.

This field visit provided valuable exposure and marked another milestone in BUITEMS’ mission to contribute to national progress through education, innovation, and institutional cooperation. It reaffirmed the university’s position as a leading academic institution in Balochistan, actively engaging with the public sector to support sustainable development and governance.
