Quetta, September 2025 – The Young Peace and Development Corps (YPDC), Directorate of Student Affairs and Academics, BUITEMS, successfully organized a comprehensive three-day Leadership Training Program from September 16th to 18th, 2025, at the Green Hall, BUITEMS Takatu Campus. The training brought together around 60 students from diverse departments and was designed to build critical competencies in leadership, emotional intelligence, and media advocacy.
Program Highlights
Day 1: Leader and Leadership
The program opened with registration, recitation from the Holy Quran, the national anthem, and welcome remarks by Ms. Fizza Mehak Batool, President of YPDC-BUITEMS.
The keynote session, delivered by Ms. Bibi Zainab, Fulbright Scholar and professional at the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, focused on the core traits, challenges, and responsibilities of leadership. A lively Q&A session followed, engaging students in meaningful dialogue.
Day 2: Emotional Intelligence for Effective Leadership
The second day featured an interactive session by Mr. Hassan Dar, a renowned public speaker and peace advocate, who emphasized emotional intelligence (EI)—self-awareness, empathy, and regulation—as a cornerstone of effective leadership.
Day 3: Media Advocacy for Effective Leadership
On the final day, Ms. Zoha Javed, a Commonwealth Scholar and Development Fellow at the Ministry of Planning, inspired students with her session on media advocacy. Drawing on award-winning campaigns, she highlighted how digital platforms can amplify youth voices and drive social transformation.

Certificates were awarded to all participants, and special awards were presented for Outstanding Leader, Visionary Leader, and Inspiring Leader.

The training was a resounding success, leaving students with:
