The University College Zhob, BUITEMS, marked Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day & Marka-e-Haq with a dignified and patriotic ceremony, bringing together faculty, staff, and students in a spirit of unity and national pride.
The event was presided over by Prof. Dr. Abdul Salam Lodhi, Director of University College Zhob, while the stage proceedings were conducted by Muhammad Imran (BSCS student).
The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony. As the green and white flag rose high, the air echoed with resounding chants of “Pakistan Zindabad.” The National Anthem was then performed, instilling a profound sense of patriotism among all attendees.
Students of the college presented soulful national songs, further elevating the patriotic atmosphere and reminding everyone of the sacrifices made for the country’s freedom.
In his address, Dr. Ayaz, Head of the Education Department, shed light on the history of the Pakistan Movement, the struggle for independence, and the pivotal role of youth in shaping the nation’s future.
In his concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Abdul Salam Lodhi emphasized that independence is not merely a celebration but a responsibility to protect and preserve. Drawing parallels with regions still deprived of freedom, such as Palestine, he urged students and faculty to value Pakistan’s independence and work collectively for its strength and prosperity.
