On the blessed occasion of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1447 AH, the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) organized a spiritually enriching Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference on September 11, 2025, to honor the life, teachings, and timeless guidance of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The conference was graced by the esteemed presence of Ms. Raheela Hameed Durrani, Pro Chancellor BUITEMS and Minister of Education, as Chief Guest. Distinguished speakers included Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Arbab Mirwais Kasi, and renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Muhammad Razeen. The event was organized by Prof. Dr. Abdul Wadood, Director Student Affairs and Academics. A large number of students, faculty, and staff attended the conference with great enthusiasm.
Theme and Key Discussions
The central theme, “Use of Social Media and Responsibilities of State Institutions in the Light of the Teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),” was addressed with depth and clarity. Speakers highlighted the critical role of digital platforms in shaping moral and social values, while emphasizing the responsibility of individuals and institutions to ensure their ethical and constructive use. Drawing on the life and Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH), the discussions underscored the importance of truth, respect, compassion, and responsibility in public discourse.
Exhibitions and Competitions
The event also featured the inauguration of a stall of Islamic books, cultural heritage, calligraphy, and poster exhibitions, inspiring participants to engage with Islamic scholarship and art. In the days leading up to the conference, Qira’at, Naat, Calligraphy, and Essay Writing competitions were held, providing students with opportunities to express their devotion and creativity.
During the ceremony, the Chief Guest distributed certificates and cash prizes among the winners, commending their talent and encouraging youth to remain connected with Islamic teachings through knowledge and creativity.
The conference concluded with a heartfelt collective prayer for peace, unity, and the continued promotion of Islamic values in society.
