Quetta, October 29, 2025 — The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) hosted a dignified ceremony to celebrate the 102nd Republic Day of Türkiye, in collaboration with Pak-Turk Maarif International School.
The event commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony of the Turkish national flag, symbolizing unity, respect, and the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye. Faculty members, students, and youth from Pak-Turk Maarif International School actively participated in the celebration, adding cultural vibrancy and enthusiasm to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez (T.I.), Vice Chancellor BUITEMS, highlighted the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and educational ties between Pakistan and Türkiye. He stated that the relationship between the two brotherly nations is built on decades of trust, shared values, and mutual cooperation across multiple sectors.
“Pakistan and Türkiye share an unbreakable bond strengthened by our religious, cultural, and academic harmony. There exist great opportunities for collaborative research, academic exchange, and joint development initiatives between institutions of both countries,” remarked the Vice Chancellor.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Idris Karalsan, Director of Pak-Turk Maarif International School, Engineer Muhammad Raza Chohan from HEC, Prof. Dr. Mirwais Kasi, Pro Vice Chancellor BUITEMS, Mohammad Ahsan Achakzai, Registrar (Acting), along with Deans, Directors, faculty members, and students from various departments.
Students from Pak-Turk Maarif International School presented colorful cultural performances, paying tribute to the everlasting friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Türkiye.
The event concluded with renewed resolve to further strengthen academic, cultural, and people-to-people linkages between both nations — reflecting BUITEMS’ continued commitment to international collaboration and global engagement.
