BUITEMS Marks Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day & Marka-e-Haq with Grand Festivities

The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) proudly hosted a spectacular celebration on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at its Takatu Campus, commemorating Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day alongside the Marka-e-Haq Grand Festivities. The day reflected BUITEMS’ unwavering commitment to patriotism, cultural pride, and youth empowerment, bringing together a dynamic blend of activities including E-Games, Art Exhibitions, Chess Tournaments, Tech & Textile Exhibitions, Parliamentary Debates, and Boxing Competitions. Festivities began at 09:45 AM with the arrival of Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Arbab Mirwais Kasi, Pro Vice Chancellor, Mohammad Ahsan Achakzai, Acting Registrar, All Deans, All Directors, faculty, staff, students, and participants at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat. The National Flag Hoisting Ceremony, paired with a tree plantation drive led by university leadership & students, symbolized unity, environmental stewardship, and national spirit. Guests then toured captivating exhibitions showcasing the creativity and innovation of BUITEMS’ students and faculty.

The formal ceremony was graced by the Governor of Balochistan and Chancellor of BUITEMS, Shaikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, as the Chief Guest. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, the National Anthem, and stirring national songs performed by BUITEMS students. A Parliamentary Debate further highlighted BUITEMS’ dedication to critical thinking and intellectual discourse.

Distinguished addresses by the Vice Chancellor and the Governor/Chancellor praised BUITEMS’ role in shaping well-rounded graduates excelling both academically and in extracurricular activities. The Prize Distribution Ceremony honored winners from various competitions, underscoring student achievement and talent. The morning segment was organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs and Academics.

The afternoon session, led by the Directorate of Sports, brought electrifying action through the Prime Minister’s Talent Hunt Youth Boxing League. The matches, in multiple weight categories, showcased young athletes’ determination and skill. The session was attended by Naseem Ur Rehman Mullakhail, Provincial Advisor for Environment, as Chief Guest, and Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Education Minister of Balochistan, as guest of honour.

The celebrations concluded with a group photo session and an atmosphere brimming with unity, pride, and a shared vision for Pakistan’s future. Through such vibrant events, BUITEMS continues to live its mission of Quality & Excellence in Education, fostering leadership, creativity, and civic responsibility among its students.
