The Debating Club, Directorate of Student Affairs and Academics, BUITEMS, successfully organized the All Quetta Declamation Competition 2025, uniting students from 14 premier institutions of Quetta on a single platform of knowledge, expression, and intellectual exchange.
The event underscored the transformative power of words and provided young voices the opportunity to deliberate on vital social, national, and global issues.
Chief Guest’s Address
The contest was graced by Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor BUITEMS, who motivated participants with his inspiring words, highlighting the importance of debate and dialogue in nurturing critical thinking, leadership, and resilience among youth. He reaffirmed BUITEMS’ strong commitment to the Empowerment of Youth Initiative, encouraging students to continue their journey of learning and leadership.
Competition Highlights
The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and prayers, followed by a warm welcome from the organizers. With seven distinguished judges, the assessment was conducted fairly, with constructive feedback enriching the educational value of the competition.
Due to the large number of participants, the competition was held in two venues:
Pink Hall (English Category): Students impressed with fluent delivery, sharp analysis, and confidence.
Green Hall (Urdu Category): Passionate orators captivated the audience with powerful words, cultural depth, and emotional impact.
The vibrant atmosphere, filled with applause and encouragement, reflected the confidence and thoughtfulness of Quetta’s youth.

🥇 1st Position: City School – Recognized for a structured and impactful speech.
🥈 2nd Position: BUITEMS – Appreciated for engaging delivery and thoughtful analysis.
Urdu Category
🥇 1st Position: Bolan Medical College – Praised for a powerful and stirring speech.
🥈 2nd Position: Amna Ejaz – BUITEMS – Commended for persuasive and confident address.
🥉 3rd Position: Rameesha Shamsi – Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Quetta – Admired for eloquence and strong performance.
Prize Distribution & Recognition
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of trophies, shields, and certificates. All participants were acknowledged for their dedication to the art of public speaking. A souvenir was presented to the Vice Chancellor by the organizers, who in turn honored Prof. Dr. Abdul Wadood, Director of Student Affairs and Academics, for his pivotal role in fostering student development initiatives.
BUITEMS’ Role
With the collective efforts of the BUITEMS Debating Club (BDC) and the Directorate of Student Affairs and Academics, the event not only celebrated oratory skills but also set a benchmark for intellectual excellence, cultural exchange, and youth empowerment in Quetta.
