The 47th meeting of the Advanced Studies & Research Board (ASRB) of the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez (T.I.), Vice Chancellor BUITEMS. The meeting took place at the Takatu Campus and brought together key academic and administrative leadership to deliberate on important matters related to graduate research and academic quality enhancement.
The session was attended by Prof. Dr. Arbab Mirwais Kasi, Pro Vice Chancellor, along with Deans, Directors, senior faculty members, and research supervisors representing various faculties and departments of the university.
During the meeting, the Board reviewed MS and PhD research proposals, progress reports, external evaluation updates, and other academic matters pertaining to advanced studies. The discussions focused on ensuring research quality, strengthening compliance with HEC standards, and promoting innovation-driven, impactful research across BUITEMS.
The Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of maintaining rigorous academic standards, encouraging interdisciplinary research, and supporting emerging scholars through improved supervision, resources, and research facilitation.
The Pro Vice Chancellor and participating members provided constructive input on strengthening thesis evaluation mechanisms, enhancing faculty–student research engagement, and aligning BUITEMS’ research priorities with national development goals.
The meeting concluded with mutual appreciation and a reaffirmed commitment to fostering research excellence, academic integrity, and a culture of inquiry across BUITEMS.
