42nd Meeting of the BUITEMS Syndicate Held at Takatu Campus

The 42nd meeting of the Syndicate of the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) was held at the university’s Takatu Campus, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez (T.I.), Vice Chancellor BUITEMS.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Arbab Mirwais Kasi, Pro Vice Chancellor, Mr. Mohammad Ahsan Achakzai, Acting Registrar, Deans of all faculties, Directors, and other official members of the Syndicate. Representatives from the Higher Education Department and Finance Department, Government of Balochistan, were also present.

During the meeting, the Syndicate deliberated on major academic, administrative, and policy matters. Key agenda items included recommendations from the 33rd Finance and Planning Committee, revisions to academic regulations for undergraduate and graduate programs, and discussions on the establishment of the Department of Pharmacy under the Faculty of Life Sciences and Informatics. The Syndicate also reviewed proposals regarding campus infrastructure development, performance evaluation systems, and strategic academic initiatives to strengthen the university’s governance and quality assurance frameworks.

In its second session, all the approved recommendations were forwarded to the BUITEMS Senate for final consideration. While chairing the session, Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez (T.I.) appreciated the valuable input and active participation of all members, emphasizing BUITEMS’ continued commitment to academic excellence, institutional integrity, and innovative growth. He reaffirmed that the university remains dedicated to aligning its academic and administrative structures with the vision of “Quality and Excellence in Education.”

The meeting concluded with a strong reaffirmation of BUITEMS’ mission to advance higher education and institutional growth in accordance with the standards of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
