Quetta, October 2, 2025 – The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) convened its 28th Academic Council meeting under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor BUITEMS.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Arbab Mirwais Kasi, Pro Vice Chancellor BUITEMS, the Acting Registrar, deans, directors, and all council members. Together, they deliberated on key academic matters, curriculum reforms, and strategies to further strengthen the teaching, learning, and research environment at BUITEMS.
Discussions focused on the introduction of new academic programs, review of ongoing curricula, and measures to enhance institutional capacity in line with international academic standards.
Addressing the meeting, Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez emphasized that academic excellence, innovation, and responsiveness to societal needs remain central to BUITEMS’ mission. He commended the dedication of the faculty, staff, and council members for their continuous efforts to ensure quality education and impactful research.
The Academic Council also approved several key academic initiatives and reaffirmed BUITEMS’ commitment to producing graduates equipped with knowledge, skills, and leadership qualities to meet both national and global challenges.
The session concluded with a collective pledge to sustain BUITEMS’ reputation as a leading institution of higher learning in Pakistan.
