A Great Loss to Education in the Country

The Vice Chancellor BUITEMS, Mr. Ahmed Farooq Bazai (S.I) expressed his profound grief over the demise of Dr. Muhammad Abbas Choudhary, the Ex. Vice Chancellor of BUITEMS. He was serving as Rector Virtual University of Pakistan. As the founding Vice Chancellor of the BUITEMS, his services in setting a new chapter in the field of education in Balochistan are unforgettable.

Dr. Muhammad Abbas Choudhary had done both his Masters and Doctorate from the George Washington University, USA. He had over 31 years of high level National and International experience in the profession of engineering, working on high profile projects. He taught at GWU and provided professional services to UNYSIS Corporation, Automatic Data Processing Inc, Government of Washington DC, States of Connecticut and multinationals for many years. He also served at Agricultural Development Bank, Pakistan Telecommunications Authority, Higher Education Commission and National University of Science and Technology and provided expert services to Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology. He was the author of numerous scholarly publications on national and international forums.

Dr. Muhammad Abbas Choudhary served as the Vice Chancellor of BUITEMS from 2002 till 2006. During his tenure the university took root as a pioneer of novel education system in the province. His plan of action revolved around empowering the faculty and staff to bring the university at par with the best universities in-land and abroad. His efforts in this regards are truly commendable. On his departure, the BUITEMS family reminisces the endeavors he extended towards making this university a great seat of knowledge.

The Vice Chancellor BUITEMS, Mr. Ahmed Farooq Bazai (S.I) and the BUITEMS Family prays for a chosen place in heaven for the soul of Late Dr. Chaudry and also for patience for the bereaved family to bear the loss with equanimity.
