The Registrar
Mr. Muhammad Afzal Kasi possesses 30 years experience of working on higher
responsible positions in the field of teaching, community organization and
development, planning, implementation and monitoring of projects of Rural
Support Program, Social Development Events. He has an extensive career in
projects on Education, Training, Consultancy and Environment with Government and
International based agencies. In addition, he also holds experience in the
fields of office management, personnel administration, consultancy and general
management. He did his M.Sc (Eco) from The University of Wales, UK. He was
elected as president of Federation of all Pakistan Universities Academic Staff
Association 1990-91. He has also worked as the President of Academic Staff
Association University of Balochistan Quetta from 1989-1990. He was awarded
"Role of Honor" in sports from Government College Lahore. Mr. Afzal Kasi
represented Pakistani team as a Manager cum Coach in Asian Games and in many
international tournaments. He won national title in weight lifting championship
in 1973-74. Presently, he is working as Registrar of Balochistan University of
Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences since November 15,
2007.

Functions and Responsibilities
Accurate student records, and interact on academic matters with students,
faculty, administration, staff, the Govening Bodies and the community at large.
The department pledges knowledge of and adherence to State and Federal rules and
regulations with regard to the certification and granting of degrees, providing
essential data, and the release of student information.
The department assumes responsibility for participation in
the creation, interpretation and enforcement of academic rules and regulations
of the University.
RO also supports the following activities: maintenance and publication of
curricula; class and examination timetabling; new student registration; student
financial aid; module enrolment; examination administration; and issue of
official academic transcripts and degree scrolls.
To this end, the Registrar's Office sets forth the following commitments:
- To judiciously maintain and safeguard student academic records.
- To interact knowledgably, courteously, effectively, ethically,
and with the utmost discretion on matters of academic policy, rules and
regulations with students, faculty, staff, administration, the Governing Bodies,
other institutions of higher education, and the community at large.
- To be fully versed in and in compliance with State and Federal
regulations related to departmental and related institutional matters.
- To evolve with departmental and institutional requirements in
the areas of technology, policy and procedure, academic affairs, interpersonal
relations, knowledge of and adherence to state and government regulations.
- To promote departmental excellence and success through
professional development and support of the staff.
