"Special
focus
on excellence of education in communication technologies used to transmit,
receive, store and process different types of electronic information signals using electronic and electrical, radio, optical and embedded systems" |
|
Mission |
|
Specializing
in the field of telecommunication design implement and manage hardware,
software and systems for processing and transmitting different types of information.
Using their knowledge of electronics, computer hardware and software, signal processing
and networking techniques, telecommunication engineers
are to be involved in a range
of voice, data and multimedia communication activities |
|
Aims and
Objectives |
- The Telecommunication Engineering academic program covers the structure of computer
system, telecommunication systems and networks, and software systems.
- Strong background is given in Mathematics as well as extensive practice in the design
and operation of both hardware and software systems.
- The academic program also develops communication skills and familiarity with
project management and quality control techniques.
- BS course in Telecommunication Engineering is designed to produce graduates with
specialist skills in telecommunication engineering . They will be able to design
telecommunication devices, circuits and systems and will most likely obtain employment
in one of the many telecommunication companies now in Pakistan and abroad.
- Telecommunication engineering students receive an education based on radio and
optical communications technologies, and multimedia.
- Telecommunication Engineers also receive expertise in the areas of network planning,
distributed systems and databases, resource management, modeling and simulation,
electronic and computer systems.
