Mission

To assist our students to learn and explore new dimensions of the socio political events taking place in contemporary world in general, and in Pakistan, in particular.

Aims and Objectives

  • To develop confidence, independence and ability to reflect in order to enhance the employability of its graduates.
     
  • To inculcate in its graduates the ability to understand the critical concepts, analyze texts separately and explore the comparison between them.
     
  • To make the students capable of appreciating the significance of social and historical context and recognizing the cross-cultural influences.
     
  • To establish and develop a viable and forceful link between theory and practices.
     
  • To ensure that the students are aware of the nature, origin, history and scope of subjects as modern disciplines and their relationship with other sciences.
     
  • To give the working knowledge to the students of the application and the practices of the subject in real life and the necessary skill to continue specialized studies later on and achieve professional excellence.
     
  • To enable its graduates to conceive, design and conduct research projects and analyze the information and share it with other colleagues.

Program Duration

The program leading to BS (SS) degree is of four years, equally divided into eight semesters. Foundation courses will be taught in the first four semesters while core/regular courses will be taught in the last four semesters for each subject selected by the student, i.e. English, International Relations and Psychology. Each semester will consist of four and half months, four months for teaching, two weeks for the preparation and the conduct of examinations.
