Department of Physics
Mission
Physics Department at BUITEMS is committed to disseminate knowledge in physical
sciences and emerging technologies in an environment conducive to imparting quality
education and carrying out cutting edge research. The department aims in producing
a sense of excitement amongst its students in exploring the universe and the desire
to engage in lifelong learning and attain high achievement level both as a physicist
and as a professionals. Interdisciplinary programs of the department would emphasize
the ways that physics is interrelated with Natural and Applied Sciences. The department
provide instructional support to other faculties.
Aims and Objectives
This department strives to develop human learning and knowledge in all Physics related
fields. There are many steps being taken towards this end, like facilitation of
all Physics related Courses which are being offered by other faculties and departments.
One major area of focus is continuous and ever expanding research to cover new fields
of this subject, to establish research & development facilities in new and emerging
technologies with application of scientific methods, theoretical concepts and mathematical
techniques to solve problems, analyze data and propose new experiments with the
help of new technology. In this way, we hope, and strive, to impart specialization
and achieve excellence.
